Does anyone know if it's relatively easy to install your own SSD into a 2140...I like everything about it except the $575 charge for upgrading the drive to an 80GB SSD.

Having said that I don't need anywhere close to that much storage, even a 16GB would probably be enough for me and Newegg has them for <$100...is it possible (i.e. feasible for someone with reasonable hardware skills, without a high chance of destroying some part of the computer) to do this? (A link to an online guide to this would be ideal if something like that exists.)

    Thanks in advance,

P.S. I would get it with the Linux option if that makes any difference.

I dunno if they have the manuals up for the 2140 yet but AFAIK you have to remove the keyboard to get at the HDD by removing the screws which are in behind the battery, just like the 2133.

If you can in the 2133, most likely its the same for the 2140. ;)
