    So, I've noticed this going for a while now. I installed a program today [forget which], but the install started very very slow. I clicked on the icon, and the window popped up some time later.

    Now I'm trying to install Yahoo's Widget Engine, and it's still not opening. I get the "User Access Control" box, but nothing after that.

    Anyone know why this could be happening?

    Have you tried using Ccleaner to clean out your registry?

    Yeah, I did that a couple of times. Let me try it again.

    Edit: I just did it, and I downloaded the file again, and it started straight up. I'm guessing that was the problem.

    Thanks =]
