Well, now I'm on my third laptop, both had the same problem, among others. No games run on the integrated graphics. Minecraft gives an openGL error, Tremulous (quake 3) gives an openGL error too. All is fine when I switch to the 6770, but really! The integrated graphics are supposed to work for call of duty for god sakes!!... I cannot order another one of these due to needing one for school, next computer will be a MacBook... They have no hardware but at least they WORK...

    So questions
1-Is this normal, the integrated graphics not working for anything, particularly Minecraft?

2-Whenever I move my computer around it makes the device disconnect noise, and at one point it said something about a device driver failing to install.... apparently it thinks something is connecting and disconnecting...? Again, normal?

They work, but you have to update your drivers. Get the ones from HP with the version ending in .2000.

No, not normal. The most likely issue is some loose cable or connection. Is there a device (e.g. the webcam) disappearing and reappearing?

Oh wow, I fixed it! Updated the AMD drivers the the version ending in .2000... I didn't think it would do anything but just in case I booted up Tremulous and what do you know, 156 fps! FINALLY!

    Thank you!
Btw the question #2 has solved itself somehow.

Never mind, the disconnect noise still plays. Since nothing seems to be affected (I tested all ports) would it hurt to just turn the disconnect noise off in the settings? BTW the noise plays when I move the screen up or down. One time I did this I got an error saying that a USB connected device had failed, so I went in for more information. The failure was in the Generic USB hub (6 ports) in port #002 and hub#0003. Since the screen still works I figure that it could be the mic or the camera maybe? What does everyone else have connected in that slot?

Hmm... Well it connected again, and the thing in that slot is the USB composite device... what is that? Is there some way I could fix this without returning the computer?

Generic USB hub? But you don't have a hub attached? It might be a bad connection between the motherboard and the USB ports.

Oh God... How would one fix this? Just open up the computer and see what's what? Or how much would it cost to get this repaired at say, best buy. I don't want to return this computer considering it's the only one that actually works...

They should be able to send someone out to fix it.

When I talked to tech support they told me I'd have to mail it to them...
