    Has anyone run across KB 896256 - XP Kernel update for MultiCore CPUs?

    If your running Notebook Hardware Control with ACPI enabled, do I need it?

    Please don't say if your experiencing a slow down in gaming, I just want to know are we missing some possible performance gain by not installing this?
