Hi, I'm new here, I would like to know which would be a better buy. I'm currently customizing an HP Pavilion dv9000t. I would like to know which one is better and a few reasons why.

Aside from that situation, I also have the choice of selecting an Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 or 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600. Which one would you recommend?

    I would appreciate the help.

you have the names backwords.. but I would stick with the ABG card until the N draft has been finalized, which will be in 09 if I'm not mistaken. also, I would stick w/ NVIDIA. cant go wrong..

Alright thanks. Do you have any advice on which graphics card would be the best fit? I have heard really good things about the Nvidia, but I am not sure of the performance of the Intel one.

Like I said, NVIDIA is what you want. it's a main stream card which (if you ever plan on playing games on your laptop) will need.

Thanks, sorry I didn't notice that in your first post. I was checking out the HP website. I see in the customizing stage that they don't have the choice for the Nvidia graphics card for the dv9500t, only for the dv9000t. Any specific reason as to why?

Really, you're trying to decide between the dv9000 and dv9500.

There are more differences than the graphics and wireless card though (Santa Rosa processor). Wait a couple more weeks and the dv9500 will have the option for a dedicated graphic card (probably the GeForce 8600M GS), which is better than the GeForce Go 7600. Also, I would argue that even though the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 4965AGN is Draft-N, you're still going to get better performance than the 3945ABG.

Just wait, the dv9500t is better.
