You know that ALL CORE MAX clock of the 9750H is in fact 4.0Ghz, or 398x-399xMhz due to BCLK not being exactly 100Mhz.

4.5Ghz is for SINGLE CORE load, ONLY.

Exactly. That is normal and cannot be circumvented. 9750H is a limited consumer CPU that is mundane by design.

Either look at the documentation on Intel's web site or pay closer attention to reviews that are focused primarily on performance, with less attention given to aesthetics, proprietary features and gimmicks. The latter are a dime per dozen and generally constitute an echo chamber.

Had to RMA my ZBK because it went bananas, updated the BIOS and now it won't revert below 1.05.04 (which is already locked) stating the system policy disabled BIOS Update, which isn't true as that option is not selected. Tried both through USB drive and Windows. Any ideas?

Do you know when they decided to block downgrades? Am I just screwed? I can't downgrade my G6 to the version you posted, getting a message about bios upgrade being locked my system policy which is apparently just some ******** message from HP not allowing downgrades at all...? ._.

I don't remember them blocking downgrades ...maybe try going just one BIOS back? If it doesn't allow you to do that, it may be worth contacting HP Support. There must be a way to go back.

That's by design, unfortunately. HP prevents bios rollback to the pre-plundervolt bios (roughly October 2019) if you upgrade the bios beyond that point. If you are under warranty, you can speak with HP support about sending the computer in for a motherboard swap but YMMV depending on whether they will handle that request and how much they will charge for it.

I made a thread asking about this specifically with regard to Zbooks, please let me know if anyone has heard of progress on a bios mod or workaround for plundervolt on these.
