For those of you with a dv2500t/dv6500t/dv9500t with the Intel x3100 video card, if you are running windows xp, can you download the new beta video driver that enables hardware T&L and tell me how 3dmark06 does? (Note - vista driver coming in a few weeks)

I think thats the same as the original.....the one that enables T&L is beta but from what I read on other forums it does a decent job at improving 3d performance on the x3100.

    Fant,
According to the Intel driver download site the original driver is 15.4 (dated 5/9/2007)
This new version 15.4.3 is dated 6/6/2007. I understand that this newer driver is not the beta version which supports T&L which is currently on out for XP.
I'm pretty sure the driver that came on my DV6500t is the original 15.4 and I have not updated it yet. I don't have my notebook with me right now so I can't check out the version #.
Unfortunately the original HP driver will not allow me to run many basic games (BF1942, BF2, Age of Empires III).
Can you point me to the other forums you mentioned discussing this driver issue?
Are you running the 15.4.3 on your DV6500t and if so have you noticed any difference?

twoof1--- I am running 15.4.3 and none of those games run except BF1942. I would suggest wait until they get the beta one out for vista. Because beta driver for xp runs like a charm and all those games that you mentioned run at higher settings.
