Anyway the sticker says Intel Centrino inside. It DOES NOT say Intel Centrino 2 .
My question is: The T5800 processor is a older centrino?? Shouldn't it be a Centrino 2? What processors ARE centrino 2?
Whats the difference between Centrino and Centrino 2?
Thanks

Read this article.
Only the Penryn-Refresh CPU Series is a part of the Centrino 2 platform.
(The T5800 is based upon the older Merom core) -
I think youve mistaken centrino. The Centrino technology is a combination of intel CPU, chipset and wireless card for optimal versatile performance.
Centrino 2 (Montevina Platform) has faster and better CPU/Chipset/Wireless Card than the previous.
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T5800 = Centrino2?
