    Hello folks,
I have an HP ZT3020, running WinXP SP2. It specs out as follows:

    1.4 GHz Centrino processor
    768 MB of RAM
    40 GB hard drive

The other day, I discovered an interesting issue. My non-descript CompUSA port replicator seemed to be acting up as the mouse and keyboard stopped working. I figured I would simply unplug its USB cable from the back of my notebook and reseat it as I've done before. As I unplugged it..

    the notebook shut off.

A complete hard shut off, no gentle powering down. I tried it again a few more times and it did the same thing. It only happens with 1 of the 3 USB ports, though.

Any ideas on what may be happening?
