I just bought a ViewSonic vx2035 to use as an external monitor for my HP nc8430 and am experiencing what I believe to be interference when I run the laptop on ac power. It doesn't happen all the time, but pretty frequently the vx2035 will 'flicker' where it looks like a wave goes down the screen like the vertical frequency is set too low.
If I take the laptop off of AC and run on battery the flickering immediately stops. Plug it back in, and it resumes.
Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution?
Thanks,
Bob

Just to close this, I found the source of the problem. The VGA cable that Viewsonic included with their monitor was junk. Wasn't thick enough to shield the signal. Swapping the cable with a thicker one included in an older LCD monitor did the trick.
