No sound now through internal speakers or if plugged in to external speakers. the only sound has been the caps on/off. I have downloaded a new driver for Conexant. No luck. Should I replace ?? Hmm, a "humming" noise? Did you check to make sure you plugged into the input of the device you were connecting to? Which output on your laptop were you using? Headphones? You could check your other outputs and see if you can get sound via those ports.
