Was the problem with the low microphone sensitivity after XP installation on dv9500t ever solved? I had the same problem when my dv9500t had vista and I got a solution in this thread:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/show...=162243&page=2

    1. Right click on the Realtec speaker icon in the system tray
    2. Select "Sound Manager"
    3. In the upper righthand corner select "Device Advanced Settings"...not super obvious.
    4. Select the second radio button "Separate all input jacks...."

But now after I installed XP on my dv9500t I got the same problem again but this time the Realtek sound manager does not have the option of "Device Advanced Settings" at all.

Any idea on how this can be solved?

I installed XP based on the instructions given in this thread:

There hasnt been a solution so far. It is a known problem

Once you install XP, you will lose either mic and/or headphone jack functionality due to driver support.
