    Can anyone please tell me if the HP dv2000t comes with an International Warranty or if I have to buy one?

    I would also like to know if HP comes with international warranty. Toshiba gives it by default...

    Only the business line comes with international warranty; You can't even add it to the consumer line models.
    The OP asks about dv2000t, so the answer is NO.

    You are right! I talked to HP - only bussiness line has international warranty by default.

    OP : If in your country there is HP representative and the same home series notebooks as in USA are available you can count on your local warranty service.

    You see I had that problem myself. I wanted to buy HP notebook in USA and bring it to Poland where I lived. The problem I encoutered was that in Poland there was no home series (Pavilion) notebooks therefore warranty service was not available. Finally I decided to buy nc8430 and I'm very satisfied with it. It's more expensive, that's true but you get better built notebook with 3yrs international warranty.
