Alright guys as the titled stated I need help with my internet connection.

Let me started off by saying I own an HP Pavilion tx 1000. For browsing Im using Fire Fox. I also have a Vaio Desktop and have been using Fire Fox for a long time now.

Now my problem is I've notice a great amount of lag or slow connection on my Hp laptop only...It takes a bit of time to refresh my page or open a new window...Sometimes it even says "Not responding" and then loads...

Its really starting to piss me off...Like How is my computer connection 10x faster then my laptop...Shouldn't they be the same? Theres not even a lot of stuff in my laptop compare to my computer...

So any suggestions?...Maybe the settings for my connection needs to be changed?

have you conected your laptop straight to the router. Try that and see if it faster, if it is you might be getting interferance from other wireless devices and you will need to change the channel

It is connected...Its even worse when I'm using wireless.

How do I change the channel? Just remove the plug from the router and plug it in another slot?

No. That setting should be in your router settings page. You can access this from your browser, the address varies depending on the brand of the router.

But this doesn't make sense...Wouldn't it have to be a setting? I mean why is my comp faster then my laptop...Its using the same internet.
