I'm planning to purchase this warranty plan but I'm wondering if it is global. I live in Canada so I'm wondering if I bought this in the US, would it work in Canada as well. In other words, would I be able to use warranty in Canada even if I purchased it in the US (my laptop is from the US as well)?

Unfortunately, no it is not a global warrant because you have a consumer model notebook. I see you have a dv8t CTO, which is not available in Canada, so my next question would be, where did you buy your notebook?? If its from the USA then any future extended warranty work (aside from your 1 year factory warranty) will have to be done in the USA. Extended warranties on consumer notebooks are not global, but they are on commercial notebooks.

As far as I'm aware, no Accidental Damage Protection plan is global because these are actually backed by a local insurance plan and HP does not have a global agreement with the insurer.
