Hey everyone. I'm not sure if this has been posted or not but I have a HP Pavilion dv7t-6c00 CTO Quad edition and I would like to upgrade the wireless adapter to a Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N 1202. I attempted to upgrade my laptop to an Intel 6300 but to no avail. The Laptop wouldn't boot and gave me an error message. When I put the realtek wifi adapter back in everything booted fine. My question is there any way to get a 3rd party adapter like the Killer Wireless-N to work in a HP Pavilion dv7t-6C00 CTP Quad edition? Thanks! :D

Mostly likely, no, as it will not be included in the BIOS' "white list" so it will not boot up.

No unless you find a modded bios with whitelist removal and flash it at your own risk.

Wow...that sucks. So I'm assuming I won't be able to upgrade it to another Intel Wifi card as well huh?

You can upgrade to an Intel wifi card as long as you get one that's made for HP (plenty of them available on ebay), otherwise flash a modded BIOS as baiii mentioned and use any wifi card.

depend on the model you have, for the 6xxx, I don't think the 620x or 6300 works
