I know this question is for Envy dv6, but I didnt get much help in that forum, so have to come here and ask. I have been considering this notebook, and have been trying to find some information about what people think about this notebook. But I couldn't even find much of someone talking about it on the internet, let alone finding any review on it. I understand its a recent change of branding, and hopefully someone here can alleviate my worries about this model.

I am trying to decide between Y580 and dv6t-Quad. I need 1080p anti-glare screen, thats why I am not too confident jumping onto Y580 purchase even though it has better GPU. Can someone please share some info on how is dv6t's performance, audio, screen, cooling etc. If someone can point me to a review, will really appreciate it.

Also, does anyone know if this has WiDi? Its not apparent from the info available on HP's site.

I am considering the following configuration.

    Windows 8 64
    3rd generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)
    NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 650M Graphics with 2GB GDDR 5 video memory
    8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
750GB 7200 rpm Hybrid Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
NO mSSD Hard Drive Acceleration Cache
    No Additional Office Software
    No additional security software
30% off 9 cell Lithium Ion Battery
    15.6-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
Blu-ray player & SuperMulti DVD burner
HP TrueVision HD Webcam with integrated dual array digital microphone
    Intel 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R)
    Backlit Keyboard

    Hey,
I'm also interested in the dv6. The y580 seems to be quite clunky and has a rather poor build quality. Also the gtx660m is basically the same gpu as the gt650, but runs at higher frequencies. The hp seems pretty sleek but I don't like the glossy plastic used on the bezel and the keyboard. Not sure about cooling efficiency on the two models though. The dv6 also has the advantage of having a 9 cell battery as an option (haven't checked the y580).
If you have any remarks I would be very grateful to hear them.
