    Hi!

I'm looking for a new laptop since my zepto went black with a faulty 8600m gt and I want a small laptop with great battery life.

So i wonder if the envy 13 is still fast enough for daily use. I like the fact that it has a good screen and build quality but im concerned the performance. I don't want the computer to feel really slow (compared to new models) in the next years.
Or should i just go with the timelinex 3820tg (i5 450m, amd 5650). The price is about the same. I am just planning to use in school and maybe use matlab and some other simular softwares. I have stationary camputer for gaming and such.

    Thanks
