I purchased a refurbished zd7000 from HP which was advertised as a Brightview display. I received the zd and the display looks the same as my 2 year old Compaq notebook. Is there a way to verify if this is a Brightview?

I would simply go into a store and checkout an HP laptop with a BrightView screen to see how it compares to the screen you have, it's quite an obvious difference between a BrightView screen and a regular matte screen.
