I just got my laptop today. I was kinda nervous that there was defects and such from a Fed-EX clearance delayed shipping. After searching any flaws that my computer might have, I noticed something on my screen just before it completely turned off. There is white blotches of light on the bottom right hand corner right after the screen turns off. I figure that it might be the HP logo on the back which shines pretty bright. Just to make sure I don't have a defective screen. . . ill ask

Does does anyone have this problem? I haven't noticed any other problems except this. I'm a bit insecure about the being screen. . . . paper thin.

I meant the screen itself is paper thin. I thought it would be in-cased with a metal sheet or something, but it seems like it is built thin enough for light to go through it. I don't think it appears when the screen is on. I can't really tell. But it is noticeable when turns right off in a room like mines which is dim even with the lights on.

yes yes yes and yes. It is a common problem most people get. It doesnt affect normal use, just that it is kind annoying if you choose not to ignore it.

I can see this too, but I wouldn't say that it is a problem, those white blotches would see every hp user who has that shiny logo on the back.

I read on Hp forum , people returned their machines like 5 times for the "blotches". and guess what. HP is still manufacturing it the same way.
