I tried to flash my bios and install xp on my dv2700t, but it messed up my bios, need to get it replaced. It has been almost 2 months, and they are still waiting for the part to come and repair! They keep on pushing the ESD further and further. I wanted to return it but I have to wait till it arrives before I can ship it out and get my money back...

Call them and dispute it. 2 months is excessive.

Usually after a month or so of delays they will opt to replace your notebook free of charge. This is unorthodox, but call up this number to get a hold of a case manager. 1 877 917 4380 EXT: 94. Give them your order number or Service order number and explain everything and how you've been two months without a laptop. Let them know if it has rendered your productivity. Good luck and post an update here every now and then.

If I were you I will ask to talk to a case manager so they can give you a new one since they are not able to repair it, my dv2000z is being "repair" and they have pushed the ESD twice, and I had enough because at one point they didn't have the parts, and later they wanted me to pay for the repair when I have insurance so they put off the repair.

Last week I asked to talk to a case manager and yesterday I got a call. The new excuse is that the repair center is in Tx and it is closed due to the hurricane.
