    Is it possible to silence my NX9010?

    This notebook runs fans as soon as you start it, and it runs faster 5 minutes later even if it stays idle. The noise is too much. I don't care about performance, I just want it to run at minimum fan speed. I just need to be sure it won't melt. I don't see a setting in BIOS. What can I do? If I open it up and unplug the fans, will it melt or burn to destruction? Or how can I but a notebook cooler tray-thingy when the seller doesn't allow me to try and listen to the sound the thing makes?

    features a Pentium 4 processor...


    If you unplug the fan, the computer will probably just shut off when the temperature reaches the cut off threshold.
