Is it crashing while at default settings? That seems really weird since there shouldn't be anything changed.

no it doesnt crash on default and i dont get any errors on IntelBurn

i keep going down and down until i get to a spot where i want it, however IntelBurn states a unstable error

got any tips of how i can find the sweet spot? and do i have to mess with the NB voltage as well?

Sorry, if it starts freezing/BSOD'ing or IBT gives you an error then that's as low as it will go, and even then you might have to settle for something a little higher since it still might freeze/BSOD in other situations. You can try skipping that specific voltage and go lower if you think IBT is wrong or try some other stress testing program like Orthos.
