I'm just wondering if its possible to replace (upgrade) the standard DVD drive with a HD-DVD drive on a dv6000 series. Do they make them yet? If they do, how much are they? I couldn't find much on it. The only thing i could find on the HP website was an external one. Anybody know?

Well they do make a HD-DVD drive for the dv9000 series I was wondering myself if it would work in the dv6000, but seeing as I'm buying a new HP top of the line system after Santa Rosa is released I'm not too worried as I'm sure there will be options for the 15.4" notebooks at that time. If you were planning on adding one to the dv6000 I'm willing to bet if any would work, the dv9000 drive would be the one. Check out the hp parts surfer they are available for around $350 or so under the dv9000 notebook parts.
