I am configuring a dv2500 laptop from HP and wondering if it is worth it to pay extra $74 for the Nvidia Geforce 8400m card? I really don't do much gaming on this laptop. I do viewing photos and video playback and a lot of web browsing.
    Thanks.

If you're not going to use it, don't buy it.

You don't need an expensive dedicated card to watch movies and browse the web. Save your money for a cooler, less power consuming integrated card.

Wouldn't the dedicated card give you a better Vista experience if you want to run the aero gui?

Yes, it would improve the experience score, but the Intel GMA X3100 is perfectly capable of running aero without problems. While I personally prefer dedicated graphics, you really don't need them if your not going to be doing any gaming (and by gaming I mean anything requiring intense 3d graphics capabilities).
