I can't find any information on this card, but I can tell you that when I was offered the Studio 15 (w/ ATI GPU) or an HP with the 9200M GS as a replacement for my previous HP (failed Nvidia GPU), I decided to not take the risk and selected the Dell. If I were in the market for a new laptop the entire 8th and 9th gen cards would be on my black list.

The 9200M GS has 256MB of dedicated memory. The 9100M GS is based on the 9200, and is fully integrated.

Listen people, 9600M GT are not faulty, the 9600 is built in G96 core and is not faulty in any notebook. I have a dv5t and with cooler my idle temp goes down to 38c in an Air conditioned room and around 45-48c without A.C.
Without cooler my idle temp are 45-48 with air con on and 50-55 without air con.

So people with idle temp 50-55 without cooler and air condition, the temp r ok and there is nothing wrong with ur GPU, its just the way dv5ts are designed, they run a lil warm.

    Hi.

Supposingly there is a solder joint that can fail due to thermal cycles , getting hot then cold , over and over again!

Simply leave your laptop on 24/7 and it will be fine ;)

Can anyone point me to a website that lists all the nvidia graphics chips and ranks them in terms of performance?

I'm really confused by their product naming system. You've got 9600, 9700, 9800...then you've got with M or without M. Then you've got GS GT or GTX or in some cases Ultra...

I just want to look at a chart/table and be able to tell where my graphics card falls into when it comes to performance...
