WTH? I was doing absolutely nothing and suddenly my screen started acting wierd.
What would cause this? I think its not about drivers cuz the same thing happens during bios start up.
Pls help me if you can

Plug it in an external monitor and see if it shows up on that screen too.

If it does then your GPU is dying caused by the Nvidia defect.

If it doesnt then the LCD cable is either frailed or loose.

Thx. I don't have an external monitor right now. Yeah, I'm thinking the same maybe its bcuz of the GPU. Well, interestingly, I did remove nVidia drivers and let Windows 7 install them. During the installation process, screen was acting wierd again then stated functioning just fine.

Still I don't have a clue of the possible cause. What do you think I should do to stop GPU disfunctioning? Any possible way to overcome of the defect? (assuming GPU failure)

What drivers do you recommend to keep gpu temp as low as possible? I was using LV2G 181.22 before and they were crushing the system. My laptop is 1.5 year old with nVidia 8400m gs, FYI.

Try pushing hard on the upper left corner of the palm rest next to the power button. Thats where the lcd cable hooks up. This isnt an nvidia GPU failing its a bad connector or bad LCD at worst.
