My old laptop dv6500z started showing me shutdown issues with 8400gs GPU.
Got a dv6-1353cl refurb to replace it.
There are some light color shades on the desktop background theme. Some sort of hallows. Is it normal for laptop screens to show this kind of behavior with the light background colors.
Is there any guide to verify the screen quality. At least basic steps. Please let me know.

There are some sort of lines (artifacts/banding) in the background.

Take a photo of your screen / problem spot. As far as I can see, the screenshots haven't captured the issue so it's not software problem.

And yes, it could be "normal" for some screens since their quality varies. However without actually seeing the artefacts it's impossible to say what kind of problem that is.

Thanks for the info. Checked out on my tv. It also showed some artifacts in light backgrounds. It looks like a paint drops. It might be be expected behavior.
