My old laptop dv6500z started showing me shutdown issues with 8400gs GPU.
Got a dv6-1353cl refurb to replace it.
There are some light color shades on the desktop background theme. Some sort of hallows. Is it normal for laptop screens to show this kind of behavior with the light background colors.
Is there any guide to verify the screen quality. At least basic steps. Please let me know.

There are some sort of lines (artifacts/banding) in the background.

One more screen shot of The princes and frog movie. On the top left corner, one can see some sort of hallows with light color backgrounds. Is it normal for laptop screens.

Colors also kinda washed out. Any settings / calibrations. I do observe some of these artifacts on my TV as well. -
Take a photo of your screen / problem spot. As far as I can see, the screenshots haven't captured the issue so it's not software problem.
And yes, it could be "normal" for some screens since their quality varies. However without actually seeing the artefacts it's impossible to say what kind of problem that is. -
Is something wrong with the screen
