    Hi,

I would like to replace my HD with a "Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500GB"( http://www.legitreviews.com/article/967/1/ ), but since this guy uses SATA-II I was wondering if anyone has replaced there DV5 HD for a SATA-II HD ?

Looks like the DV5 is capable to handle the SATA interface only :(

Yep that should be a great upgrade. I have the G-force (free fall sensor) version from Discount Technology. This is the only place I have found that has this version. For $125 its a few dollars cheaper and they have very fast shipping.

Looks like Newegg has free shipping on the other version right now. Might be a little cheaper.

The difference between SATA and SATA II is the transfer rates are better and power usage is lower for less heat and longer battery times.

    Hope this helps.
