I'm thinking of buying the HP G72-103 in the new year, it looks like a good machine.
Does anyone have any experience with this laptop and what is the build quality like?
I'm still all over the place deciding which computer I would like the most.

The G72 is a 17.3" laptop and is larger and heavier than the G42 and G62. Looking at the specifications, the notebook should suffice for most everyday tasks, such as web browsing and watching Internet video.
What are you going to use the notebook for? -
I have one and am pretty happy with it. Got it for $449 at Staples after recycling an old laptop and the rebates...
Just planning to use it for light productivity work, listening to itunes and websurfing. Good screen, keyboard and mousepad for the price. -
I bought a similar spec G72 in August - it's a great day to day machine. I've been able game on it, all be it a low resolutions / quality. Its really quiet, and for a laptop this size its pretty light. My only real negative is the screen quality, the colours seem a bit washed out and not that intense.

I did a search on the Hp forums, this is a good way to get a feel for a certain model. I own the little brother G62, no problems since purchase of Aug 5th
