It seems that the new 5310m has the "Durafinish" or brushed aluminum covering that only the Elitebook series had. Its also black which makes it look a lot more sexy. The Probook sports a ATI Mobility Radeon 4330 which is comparable to the 3450 in the older Elitebook 6930p.

Apart from the lack of the 3 year warranty and the "night light" at the top of the LCD, it seems that the new Probook 5310m is basically an upgraded 6930p? Would anyone out there agree? Or is there something else about this Probook line that I'm missing compared to the Elitebook line?

I might go for the Probook since its a bit cheaper than the Elitebook and the keyboard + touchpad feels a lot nicer!

The 6930p, as an EliteBook, has docking station support, dual batteries and an UpgradeBay allowing a 2nd hard drive with hardware RAID support or an internal optical drive. It also has a higher resolution display, and supports SV CPUs up to a T9900.

The 6930p refresh should include eSata and a digital video connector.

The 5310m and 6930p target different segments of the market, so if you need a simple, thin and light, then get the 5310m.
