What type of memory does the nVidia 8400M GS in a DV6700t have? Is it DDR2 or DDR3?

I read in this forum that the nVidia 8400M GS in DV2700t has the DDR3 memory type. What about the DV6700t?

I'm pretty sure that if their budget based notebook 2700 series has DDR3 that their 6700 series would too... but I'll see if I can't find a link to prove it as well. :)

I didn't find anything to confirm DDR3 in the 6700, but I did find an interesting tidbit that Wikipedia had to say about the DDR3 8400m GT:
"While these cards are not oriented for high-end gaming, the GDDR3-equipped 8400M-GT can handle most modern games at medium settings,[29] and is suitable for occasional gaming."

The dv6700 should also have the DDR3. It wont make much of a difference anwyay

I just test it with TechPowerUp GPU-Z. It showed that it's a DDR2. How can HP put a DDR2 on the DV6700t but a DDR3 on the DV2700T

The maximum 8400GS gpu memory you can put a dv2000 is 128mb thats why its DDR3, since it uses less power and runs cooler.

On dv6000's the max is 256mb and DDR2, as you said. The RAM type most likely wont make a difference

The GPU-Z showed that the bandwidth is only 6.4 GB/s and has a memory frequency of 400 MHz. The DDR3 has better values, I think.

Yes, GDDR3 memory is usually clocked higher. 400/800/600mhz to be exact
