Just wondering.... my old Dell use to let me tap Fn and another key to open the dvd/cd slot without having to reach over and push the sometimes hard to find button on the side of the dvd player....
oh... this is for a dv9000t

This command line utility works for me:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Eject.shtml
After downloading and unzip:
1. Create a shortcut to eject.exe
2. Right-Click on the shortcut to eject.exe, choose [Properties]
3. Choose the [Shortcut] tab
4. Add your DVD drive letter to the end of the Target. For example : ....\eject.exe" d
5. Change the Shortcut Key to something not too common, such as Ctrl+Alt+F10
6. [OK]
From this point on, Ctrl+Alt+F10 will eject the disk.
Small quirk, this will only eject after the autoplay sequence has completed (usually the "what do you want windows to do" dialog when CD/DVD is first inserted, like a movie)
Is there a Fn or keyboard command to open dvd slot?
