Is there a backlit keyboard function on the 8530w? if so, how does one turn it on.

    thnx.......

Quick review: i'm loving my new 8530w. Build quality is tank like. Looks and feels like a business laptop. I have no complaints as to its performance since my last laptop was a 2GB RAM, 1.5ghz pentium processor.

I read some complaints where ppl said the unit is very heavy... All I have to say is "are you kidding" This unit feels about half the wait of my Inspiron 9300 but about three times + more powerful.

No backlit keyboard, but there is an "overhead" light which shines down on the keyboard. It is at the top of the LCD in the middle. There is a little button with a lightbulb icon on it. Press in the button and to the left of it a flap opens with a LED light that shines down onto the keyboard. Press the flap back in to turn it off. I haven't actually tried it in anger myself.
