Hi all, I'm planning on purchasing an Elitebook (8740 maybee) that I want to semi-permanntly dock to a monitor and external keyboard. But I dont like the idea of having to open the lid, power on the laptop, close the lid and then use my system, so I was hoping there is a docking solution out there that would have a power button mounted so i could power the laptop on and off with the lid closed.
thanks for any help finding such a thing

Thats the dock for all the current business laptops but it should actually work with older models too. Look at the picture: the power button is on the left and release button on right.
Basically all the business docks have that feature, because there's monitor stands where you put laptop under the big monitor (or two monitors) and it stays closed all the time.
Is there a dock that will power up and down the laptop?
