I have a friend with a HP DV9000 and sometimes he accidently hits the wireless button causing him to get disconnected.

Is there a way to keep it on all the time, and over-ride the wireless button?

Is there a way? Yes. Do you want to do it? No.

It's just a switch. You could open the case and either solder around the switch or disconnect the switch physically, depending on how it's wired. Not worth the time or effort.

I would cover the switch with high quality electrical tape (in the on position) or put a dollop of hot melt glue on the open portion of the switch preventing movement. You could always "break-off" the dollop of glue if you wanted to return the switch to service.
