I have received my dv3t in black today, and it comes preinstalled with Vista. I have a copy of Windows XP Pro and would like to reformat it to this. Is there a way to do this and ensure all drivers can work?
For those who want to see the guides I am looking at, here they are (also found on posts #2 and #4):
Information and drivers + thorough support from HP forum:

A guide to help in the process (an easier reading, read posts 2 and 3):

Absolutely. Just say the word and the Vista haters emerge from the woodwork.
As usual, the HP support forum is a good starting point. XP ON DV3 -
You will need to check first to make sure all the drivers are supported. Cause last time I put XP on my friend's Pavilion Dv6000 and there was no drivers support.

Okay so I got my awesome new spiffy dv3t today. I am currently making backup recovery DVDs of Vista. Now, it is time to research into putting XP on it.
Thanks for the guide.
The 2nd and 3rd posts are the links to all the drivers. I would like to know if all of these drivers are supported and ready to be installed for the dv3t. Also, I don't think I see the fingerprint reader driver, as I would like to continue using my fingerprint reader in XP.
All help appreciated. Thanks.
Update:
I found this useful guide to help in the process (HP support forums), but the dv3t (and all new models + HDX models) are categorized in the difficult category, making it slightly risky business to try and downgrade. It will work, but not everything is guaranteed to perform as well as Vista, based on what I have read and my gut feelings. Here it is:

If anyone has followed this guide for the new models (especially the dv3t), please let me know how it went.
Is there a way to put Windows XP on the dv3t?
