Because I was wondering what files are able to play in Quickplay. For some of my video files I Get "Unable to Play".

Yes, chances are it is the file format. Download VLC Media Player by VideoLAN It's a great player and includes many codecs, supporting many file types. This may allow QuickPlay to play those files. I always wanted to play DVD movies using WMP, but without the decoders, you couldn't. VLC fixed that for free! The other cool thing about VLC is you can record, convert, or broadcast the playing file over a network/website! Nothing fancy looking, but does a great job!

Tip: If you don't want VLC as the default player, make sure you specify that during installation/setup. That was a pain.

VLC is a good player, plays alot of formats right after downloading but media player classic requires codecs which you can still get in bulk via codec pack downloads. the good thing about media player classic is that you can easily seek while with VLC it is a little less accurate. so get both and see which one you like or just keep them both, they come in handy when a file might not work on one but works fine on the other.
