I did a clean install of Vista Home Premium on my dv2554ea and i'm wondering if there is an alternative to using Roxio to burn discs and use lightscribe... at the moment the only applications i've installed are:

    McAfee
    Adobe Photoshop CS2
    CCleaner

It's running like lightning, and Roxio installs like 5 or 6 seperate little apps, just feels a little bloated. Are there any alternatives?

    System Specs:
    Pavilion DV2554EA
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7300 2.0GHz
    1024MB
    160GB SATA 5400rpm Hard Drive,
DVD Super Multi Writer optical drive with Lighscribe
14.1" WXGA Bright View (1280x800 resolution) TFT LCD Display
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100

Nero 7 is my personal favorite, but there's a host of great freeware programs out there too.

You can get current Lightscribe drivers and a basic Lightscribe artwork program on the Lightscribe website. I haven't tried them yet.

I generally use Nero, though it's getting awfully bloated too. I wish they'd make a Windows equivalent of Nero for Linux, which is much like what Nero for Windows used to be and it's much more reasonably priced.
