Hi everyone, I'm new here and I was wondering if there was an owners lounge for DV4-3xxx series? I couldn't find it in search and the owners lounge directory. I just got a DV4-3006tx yesterday (my first laptop, had a few desktops before this) and wanted to check others opinions and feedback on this one. Thanks!

You won't find much on this model due to the unfortunate fact that it is not available in Europe or the US as of yet (if at all). I know I for one would love to hear your thoughts on it though. As long as it doesn't get too hot it appears to be quite the laptop even for its size.

It's been available in the US for quite a few weeks now, just not with the AMD 6750m graphic option.

The US version doesn't even have USB 3.0... It is so far removed from the dv4-3*** sold in the rest of the world I don't count it as part of that series. The worst part is the introductory video on the US HP site gloats about the dedicated graphics and the terabyte storage options. Neither of these are actually offered.

For the week I've been using so far it doesnt get hot at all, I've not been playing very high quality games so far just HON and Civ 5. The palm rest doesn't get hot at all.

This runs HON at 1376x768 all turned High, no AA/AF along the lines of 90-125 FPS. Need to do more benching.

One thing of concern i had was that during charging, the charger powerpack gets *extremely* hot that you can fry eggs on it. I wonder if its normal.
