I own a Compaq Presario V3200 series notebook.

Is there any user guide for the Compaq quick launch buttons? There were no instructions in the manual (supplied with notebook) about the quick launch buttons. There is no information on the button functions and instructions on using these buttons on the HP web site either.

I can access some functions by pressing the "FN" and "F#" keys on the keypad.
Is it possible to set other keys as quick launch buttons?
Is there a list of all the functions and button assignments?

Thanks for any and all help.

The quicklaunch buttons control the FN F# keys and the Num lock keys on the keyboard. Plus it controls the quickplay/media buttons on top of the keyboard. If you have an older version of the quicklaunch buttons then HP provided a list of available programs and allowed users to change some of the quickplay keys and be able to map it to programs of their choice but they have removed this feature from newer versions and I have no idea if it is possible to remap them.

    Thanks.

There are some icons on the "F#" keys at the top. These icons are the only clue about what the buttons probably might do when pressed.

Is there any clear list about what each "F#" key does? I did not find a list on the HP site search. I did not find a list in the help either.

There is no means (at least that is easily accessible) to remap the keys on this notebook.
