Im trying to keep the price on a new notebook as low as I can. Im currently looking at customized DV6000t. The specs are as follows :) :

    160 GB Hard Drive
    1 GB of ram
    Vista Home Premium
    Microphone/HP styling/Webcam
    DVD-CD/RW Combo
    Intel Celeron M Processor 520
    Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950

What do you guys the think? I can post more specs if you want.
I can get the notebook for $562.69.

Price looks good, though the Celeron M processor is quite outdated. I'd also recommend moving down to Vista Home Basic or upgrading to 2 GB of RAM for performance.

The dv6000z, since it has a dual-core processor.

I would stay with Vista Home Premium, upgrade to 2GB of RAM, and go with the Core 2 Duo.

I don't think that was in the choices, but I agree with the 2 GB of RAM. However, adding the Core2Duo would probably make the laptop a lot more expensive.

:( Before posting the earlier options, I had already ordered the DV6000t... Will I notice that big of a difference with the Celeron M processor? Should I order the DV6000z and return my DV6000t? I dont really want to have to wait another week... Ahhhh what should I do? Dual Core processor/120 GB HD/Extra $20 or Celeron processor/160 GB HD/~$20 less.

UGH. I feel stupid... Ive thought it over and looked at the configuration of the DV6000z for $581.99. It is MUCH better than my configuration for the DV6000t. Some of the advantages include...
    (6000t vs 6000z)
Intel Celeron M vs. AMD Athlon Dual Core
    CD-RW vs. SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW
    Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 vs. NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 6150

$20 for a Turion X2 over a crappy Celeron is definately worth it.

What kind of warranty does it come with?

You might want to consider upgrading the Ram(you can do it yourself) since i assume it comes with Vista Home premium.

I also recommend that you fill out the FAQ so that we can help you better.
