This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is there a way to modify the quickplay buttons (back, play/pause, forward, and stop) so that it works with winamp and not WMP? I only have the option to modify the DVD button, Media Menu button, and the Music button in the control panel (HP quicklaunch buttons) Thanks in advance :)

    Do you have a little rocketship icon in your taskbar? If you double click on that you can change it.

    I tried that but I can't modify the forward, play/pause, rewind buttons that are at the very top of the laptop where it controls quickplay. I'm trying to get those blue shiny controls to work with winamp instead of WMP.

    I think it is hardcoded in the bios.
