The screen on my Compaq Evo N620c seems to take a slight but noticeable amount of time to reach full brightness when I wake the notebook up out of suspend (probably on startup too but it's harder to tell on a mostly black splash screen). Is this normal behavior or is it indicative of a potential backlight failure waiting to happen? The machine is under warranty so I can just send it in to HP if necessary for replacement.

But how long is a normal warmup period? It seems more noticeable than on other machines I've used.

My desktop LCD can take a couple of minutes to reach full brightness, it's so slow I can't really see it. The only LCDs that don't do it are LED backlit displays.

i noticed that to on my two desktop LCD's. They used to be full brightness instantly when new, but now they take like 10-15 sec to reach full brightness.
