Hey guys looking into getting a new HDX or DV7t. Because HP.com doesn't ship internationally I thought I would order from: hidevolution.com
as they offer custimizable pc's. Has anyone heard of them and are they safe?

    Thanks

I searched for them... they arent at resellerratings.com or the Better Buisness Bureau. i even searched google for hidevolution.com reviews and foun nothing. I searched thier site to ssee if they are VeriSigned or authenticated by anyone like Pricegrabber or mcCaffe or anything and i didnt find anything. So they basiclly have no history. Thier site looks very basic. So i would not buy from them personally. They could be a scam easily or maybe just a new company to the market, but i wouldnt take the chance since they have no history or arent "signed" by anyone. I reccromend you dont buy from them.

EDIT: Plus i just realized thier site is made by a free buisness site company, "Zen Cart". In my opinion, this has scam written all over it.

They have a telephone number an an email address which uses a domain name which is not at all related to any bigger company. Find another retail outlet, do not under from anywhere which looks like that, ever.

Really, a website selling products over £200 should really be able to afford a decent design, and be Verisigned or have some sort of authentication.

I wouldn't necessarily say it is a "Scam", but it's clearly a small start-up business. One obvious hint of that, as ahl395 mentioned, is that they use a free software called Zen Cart to run their site. This isn't really a bad thing, because most businesses start small and then as they build up their reputation then they invest that money back into the business. I wouldn't mind buying something small and low-priced from a start-up company, but it's always a bit of a gamle when buying from one. On high-dollar item like a laptop there are so many other options out there which are much safer.

Do you have any friends or relatives in the U.S. which you could have the laptop shipped to from HP, and then they can turn around and ship it to you? I have customers do that all the time when they buy things from my golf store, because I will only ship to certain international countries (there is way too much fraud with international e-commerce).
