I just bought a brand spankin new HP dv5t series, got it 3 days ago, i inspected it when i got it out of the box and it was beautiful.
However a little later I noticed that the power (cord side) that you plug in to charge was pretty loose. Are your guys like this?
Now just today I tripped on the long part of the cord... it moved the laptops position on the desk a few inches, and enough to pull it out of the box in the middle of the cord, and it feels even loser.. but I cant tell if it really did, i might just be paranoid.
This worries me because on my last two laptops they were pretty tight and had no play in them, both of the ended up broken.
Thanks guys!!

my dv5 power connection seems loose too. im assuming its by design. or design defect.

And my too

mine is moderately loose as well and i just set up my laptop today so I think this is it's design

Mine's been slightly loose since day 1 but stays plugged in firm. Agreed with above sounds like it's by design.

you people are more anal than i am about these things

Mine isnt loose at all, in fact it requires a tug to pull it out.

I think it's designed like that. It's somewhat loose on mine too, doesn't other me, because it's still snug and still charges.
Is your HP dv5t power jack loose?
