It's not really 'official' if just one person reports it...

The dv2000z has been out for sometime now, and there hasn't been any other reports of this problem in either the Intel model or AMD model.

I have a V3000z which shares the same hardware as the dv2000z and have never had any problems with the keyboard.

This problem usually goes away if you press shift and type 1-2 letters that way.

This guy here found out the same solution. This is a typical keyboard problem, and I've seen it on desktops as well as on notebooks. Surely nothing to freak out about.

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM with my HP DV8000, bought at Costco. The only solution I have come up with is punching every key on the keyboard until the problem goes away. I have ruined a number of half-completed documents over this issue, and I couldn't figure out if it was hardware or software related. My girlfriend bought the exact same unit about a month earlier, and has never experienced the problem. I'm just trying to live with it, as I am over the return period. Anyone know what causes this?
