    Hi,
I have the DV5000t, and me and my brother both have the same computer, and in the past week have both noticed itunes skips when playing songs, and on his his speakers hardly work, when playing in Windows Media Player it says problem with sound device. We are using the new 7.0.1 itunes, and I just loaded the new sound driver from the HP website.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

I guess this is Itunes, I just read, but am not sure about the media player not working and saying sound device is broken. Maybe driver will work for him? He has not been able to connect to the internet either.
P.S. my keys skip a little but the computer is only a month old.

iTunes does the same thing on my computer. I am guessing its a iTunes bug.

I had the same problem too, but for some reason, after i optomized my xp for better performance, it went away. I guess it could be the resources running in the background.
