Will I fair well with this computer? Is this a good replacement for my old ZV6005us? Can anyone recommend a good security suite? Something that will take care of antivirus, spyware, etc.... without compromising performance?

It has a great video card and a much bigger hard drive than your old laptop so it's definitely a big jump. Fingerprint reader and everything else looks good. What's the price though?

Right around $1150.00

I have the DV9700T and it's a great computer. I had to send the first one back (a DV9500T) because of a faulty DVD drive. The 9500T had 2GB RAM and the 9700T has 3GB RAM. I can tell a HUGE difference in the extra gig of ram so I definitely recommend going for the extra gig. Newegg has some great deals for about $30 for a 2 GB stick.

Can you tell me exactly what RAM to buy. As I don't have the computer yet, I want to make sure I buy the right RAM?
-
I purchased Transcend 2GB+2GB from NewEgg and it works perfectly in my DV9500.

I love mine so far, had it 1 week.

It will be a bit more expensive, but I always like to order from Crucial. Never had any problems with their RAM, ever.

Just recieved my dv9700t CTO this morning. It seems to work great, with the exception of creating the restore disks. It seems to hang at 50%. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Just ordered....
