HP isn't giving out Anytime Upgrade discs anymore? I saw them for $4.99 on Amazon.com but don't want to pay that if I don't have to!

P.S. My expected ship date was 21st and hasn't shipped yet but still excited to get it!

I guess that means I'll have to buy an oem Vista disc from NewEgg for future clean installs (I've accumulated tons from XP over the years).

As for the 4.6 rating, what part of the test gave the lowest subscore?

    :)

I figured it would be the graphics card. As for the hd score, I noticed it does not take the slave drive into account (but it scored high anyway). Maybe the 7200rpms helped the test..........

Now we await your review, or at least some impressions of the new beast. :D

Congrats! Thats hell of a setup. If you want to do a clean install, i would either find someone with a retail copy of vista 64 and make a copy, or download an image of the disc and burn it. its very easy to find. you OWN the license to a copy of Vista Ult. 64, so your not 'technically' pirating anything, since you'll use your key. but its also 'technically' not legal.

Also youre going to have to find a decent graphics driver. prolly a "beta" one.

lets see more pics (not of the notebook, we know what that looks like)! do a super pi test, run HD tune, and then do a rightmark test.

I'm interested to hear what you think about the TV tuner. I was on the fence about getting it, and ultimately did not do it. I can always download stuff from my Tivo, but still, the idea of TV in the laptop is intriguing.
